FAFSA & SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Welcome to the North Central Ohio College Tech Prep Financial Aid & Scholarship web page! This page was designed to be a 'one-stop' resource for you. You will find information regarding the FAFSA, scholarship opportunities, and several links to local and national funding sources.

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This form is used to determine the amount of money a family is expected to contribute to the price of attending a postsecondary institution. The results of the FAFSA are used in determining student grants, work study, and loan amounts.

The recommended deadline to apply for the FAFSA for the 2011 - 2012 school year is: June 30, 2011. However, you are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA before March 1. Remember, that there may be more funding available for you to go to college if you apply before March 1.

Also -- be sure to check with the college/university that you are planning to attend for additional scholarships. Colleges & Universities have a lot of additional monies available to help offset the cost of attending their school.

Beaware, that there may be additional scholarship applications you need to complete (besides the FAFSA) in order to be eligible for scholarships from the school you're going to attend.

Be sure to pay close attention to and meet all deadlines!! Your educational funding is at risk in a lot of situations if you miss deadlines!
