Electronic Engineering

Description
This program provides educational experiences which allows students to gain technical skills to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic, biomedical, computer and communications systems equipment. Students use system safety, maintenance procedures, and calibration instruments.

Possible Careers
Electronic Engineer, Design and Development Technician, Business Machine Service, Telephone Instrument Repair, Biomedical Technician, Consumer Electronic Repair

Skills Learned

  • Linear Circuits including amplifier design
  • Motor Control
  • Digital Control Systems
  • Microprocessor operation hardware, and software
  • The use of test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, Af/Rf generators, digital and analog meters, computer simulation software for design

Required Prerequisites
Algebra I or equivalent (grade C or better)
